Description Supposing Books Jejak Langkah (Tetralogi Buru #3)

Third one of his tetralogy. A must read. He would have won the Nobel Prize for it if it wasn't obstructed for political reasons. This man is a true hero and the best writer I know. He wrote the story on the prison island Buru. While working he wrote the story in his head. In the evening he told it to his fellow prisoners...For the English reader: You can buy the whole tetralogy in English. It is called 'The Buru Quartet' 1.Bumi Manusia (This Earth of Mankind) (1980) 2.Anak Semua Bangsa (Child ofThis is the third book of four that tells the story of Minke, a native of Java under Dutch rule, at the beginning of the twentieth century. These books become better as they go, and this one was outstanding. This book begins with Minkes entry into medical school in Betawi (now Jakarta). The political awareness that began in the last part of his life continues and increases rapidly. The book covers a number of years in Minkes life. He attends medical school for five years, but drops out before
"Beautiful hangover" part II
it was a long journey. exciting but tiring at some point. and..... the ending was BOMB! well written. i adore whoever cut this story in 4 parts, pram himself or not, it was brilliant "cutting point".
This is the third book from Pram's tetralogy. This book is wonderful in how historical details could be provided and clear description of the events showed. In this book, the main character of the book, Minke, started his move to against the colonial. He moved the Indonesian people through moving Indonesian people to be involved in politics. He got them involved through organizing a party (though atually it was not political and more on strenghtening the Indonesian's economic life) and a mass
This is the best amongst the first three books that talked about Minke. Minkes personality evolved to become noble and respectful person. Although, IMO, the best part of the Buru tetralogy relies on the last book, Rumah Kaca, which has totally different point of view because it is told from other person POV. However, this tetralogy is kind of a journey. As minkes grown up, readers follow that maturity process. One book lead to another and book 3 is the ending for Minke. The ending is satisfying
Footsteps by Pramoedya Ananta ToerThird book in the Buru Quartet. Minke who we have followed from a teenager in This Earth of Mankind and Child of All Nations grows to become a man and a political being in this book. This book synthesizes the plot structure and the politics of the first two books and adds on a great historical emphasis to bring these two aspects closely together. Though dense at times, because of historical reference, it is not an unbearable weight, but more so a corridor with
