Assess Appertaining To Books The Shamer's Signet (The Shamer Chronicles #2)
When I started on the first book of the quartet I had some trouble getting into the style - as a friend of mine said, Northern Europe writing is difficult to swallow, not a spoon for every mouth. That's why, though I had bought the second book, it took me an year to have a go at it. But once I started, I couldn't stop. I read through quickly and was even eager for more. The return appearance of known characters was great, as was the new and enthralling plot. I'm still missing the romance factor,

I received a copy of this novel from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I didnt enjoy this quite as much as the first one, and I actually would have only rated it as a 3.5. This novel is told from the points of view of Dina and her brother Davin. Im not a fan of Davin and find his character to be really annoying, self centred and incredibly shallow. He did make Dinas character look very mature, physically and mentally strong, and the obvious better person. The mayhem

LOVED IT

Another fun read in this series. I had a little problem with seeing Dina being held down in this second book but I understood the reason she held out against her power in order to keep someone who was named as her "whipping boy" alive. I enjoyed seeing her older brother and younger sister being brought into the story and the roles that they played. I think this series looks to be shaping up as a great YA adventure series. I'm anxious to move on to the 3rd book.

There's something special about finding a book that's written for you. For me? It had to be -- seeing the Shamer Chronicles is written how I pen my books. I'm pretty sure the author wrote these books just for me. But I'll be gracious. You can read them too if you want. From beginning to end, I was itching with delicious delight. Everything, from the first-person perspective, the mountain setting, the dialogue, even the vicious twists and turns of the plot, kept me hugging myself in delight. I

Dina and her family have taken refuge in the Highlands, an area out of the new tyrant Valdracu's way inhabited by independent clans with vaguely Scottish-sounding names, but they are attacked there too. Starting with this book Dina shares narrator status with her brother Davin, who wants to be/thinks he is more macho than he is.

I enjoyed this book. Took me a little while to get into this book.. I hadn't read the first book. Once I got hooked the pages flew by! Can't wait to read the rest of these books.
