Narrative In Favor Of Books Shatter Me (Shatter Me #1)

I have a curse
I have a gift

I am a monster
I'm more than human

My touch is lethal
My touch is power

I am their weapon
I will fight back

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

Crit About Books Shatter Me (Shatter Me #1)
I know many found this book to have a very unique writing style, but I can't help but think how terrible and awkwardly written it was. The writing:Mafi's style of writing varies. Let me categorize. This doesn't even make sense writing:"I catch the rose petals as they fall from my cheeks, as they float around the frame of my body, as they cover me in something that feels like the absence of courage.""He says it with a small smile the size of Jupiter."I'm picturing this in my head and it's not

4 stars! All I ever wanted was to reach out and touch another human being not just with my hands but with my heart. Holy hell this one was intense! Shatter Me has been on my TBR for YEARS, but one of my book friends/favorite book pushers insisted I get to it ASAP. So I did. This book was addicting. I listened to the audio book in 2 days and cant wait to get to the next one. I have mixed feelings about whats going on and I cant wait to see what happens next! I find both of the guys intriguing

[image error]How awesome was this book? Well,I am going to tell you. Pretty darn awesome! I am not very good at convincing people to read the books I loved so I am going to write this review without any pressure. Here are some arguments: 1. if you are (like myself) a fan of X-Men,you will love it,or else...2. If you are (like myself) a fan of strong and smart leading character like Juliet, you will love it. 3. If you are (like myself) a fan of totally shagable and caring guy like Adam, you will

Im unhauling this whole series and canceled my preorder of the new book. Im changing my views and cleaning house. Sucks these books look damn good on the bookshelf though!! I will always love Warner though. Picture by George Redhawk Mel 🖤🐶🐺🐾

November 2017I picked this back up on a whim because I've been dealing with anxiety lately and wanted to return to something comforting, so I decided to annotate one of my paperback copies. And I gotta say, It's.... weird returning to book one. Ignite Me is my favorite book of all time, and rereading that book is such an immersive experience that I always come out of feeling empowered. This book, on the other hand, holds such a special place in my heart because it's so relatable that it hurts.

(Note: Goodreads friends and followers, you know me by now. You know that, even as much as I love a book, my reviews aren't always a resounding, "Oh my goodness, you need to READ THIS NOW! YOUR LIFE WILL BE SO MUCH FULLER BECAUSE OF IT!" I'm not that naive or arrogant to think that the books I love will be the books you love. Instead, my reviews are...chronicles of the experiences I had with books, and if that can help you decide whether certain books will be for you or not, then I'll be all the

Shatter Me, otherwise known as: When Creative Writing Class Goes Wrong.I am all for experimental writing, for stretching your abilities and trying to find fresh ways to express ideas. Occasionally you end up with genius, but most of the time you result in pretentious, awkward prose that stick in the proverbial craw of readers. This book is that writing. There are plenty of examples that I can give as evidence but I shall stick with two relatively short ones:His eyes scan the silhouette of my
