Once again, Mr. Lemoncello has introduced readers to puzzles, games, books, and a love of Dewey Decimal System. In this book, readers are also introduced to Banned Books. I really enjoy the clues in this book and how the readers are given a chance to solve the puzzles and riddles for themselves before the answer is solved. Each character has strengths and weaknesses but work together as a team. Differences can be strengths and past mistakes forgiven. The joy of learning is what comes through inIf any of you know, or have read my review of the previous book Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library, you know I'm a pretty big fan of both the previous book, and this author. Chris Grabenstein is, in my opinion, one of the best authors in Children's fiction right now. His books are an incredible amount of fun for both kids and adults, and they're the BEST for classroom read-aloud's. I've recommended his children's books to all of the Elementary and Middle School teachers I work with, and
Holy Bagumba! Mr. Grabenstein did not disappoint with this fantastic sequel! Stepping back into Mr. Lemoncello's library was just as magical as the first time. Don't walk, RUN (or take a handy hover ladder, if available) to get this book!

I loved this book just as much, if not more than it's predecessor. Weaving the reality of banned books and the most amazing library ever together makes for a great story. Seriously, I would never leave that place.
For some reason I expected much more from this book. But even from the educational level I was disappointed (not every book that mentions good books and libraries is awesome, oh well). Not even talking about the fact that the whole game was a test, maybe cheating children is not my cup of tea.I am reading many MG books with my daughter. Some of them are awesome (lately, All Rise for the Honorable Perry T. Cook. And some timeless and amazing, The Giver and The Phantom Tollbooth). This one does
A curiously, puzzling sequel to the first Mr. Lemoncello series. With relatable new characters and a mysterious plot, middle-grade readers won't want to put it down! Overall 4/5 stars; I hope this book inspires a love for the library in all!
That superrich, book-loving, game-making Luigi Lemoncello is back. Following on the heels of the wildly-successful Mr. Lemoncello's Library, this book features the team that won the first competition minus one member. Kyle Keeley and his friends are basking in all the fame and adulation for winning the original competition when Mr. Lemoncello decides to host an Olympics based around library skills and knowledge of books. Readers will relate to Kyle's fears that he doesn't have what it takes this
