Wethering the Storm (The Storm #2)
Wrong. Even the bright California sun can’t whitewash the dark side of celebrity coupledom. Greedy music execs, merciless paparazzi, and Jake’s wild past are lurking around every corner. Making matters worse, Jake announces he doesn’t want kids, which just may be a deal breaker.
Tru loves Jake more than anything. But when a devastating crisis threatens to destroy everything they’ve fought for, the couple must face the hard truth: What if, this time, love is not enough?
This book emotes so many feelings in me.... It's beautiful to read about a love so exquisitely powerful. If youve read The Mighty Storm then you will know and understand the depth of feelings and love Jake and Tru have for one anotherfor me, this second book celebrates these characters with beautiful words and emotions but it also gives us so much more. It gives a story of love, jealousy, sadness, friendship, grief, letting go and moving on from the past....yes, from the start I could see the
OH MY GOD I want to give Wethering the Storm 10**********I have never cried so much reading a book like I did with WTS, reading Jake's POV, Jake and Stewart together the tears started coming and would not stop.I found WTS a very romantic story and I loved the way Tru & Jake's relationship progressed throughout the story, I loved the way all of Jake's group took Tru in under their wings and I love Stewart. Loved the dual POV's between Tru & Jake. Very happy with this book after waiting a
5 STARS!!!!I actually finished Wethering the Storm a few days ago, for some reason I stopped myself posting a review straight after finishing the book. Initially, I think it is because my first reaction was disappointment, and when I feel that after reading a book, particularly by an author I love to pieces (and I have a HUGE soft spot for Sam Towle), I want to get my thoughts and reactions straight in my head first before sharing them with anyone else on the various internet platforms. As such
I don't know whether to smile because it was so good, or cry because it's over. 5+ STARS!Siiiggggh. I just love Jake so bloody much. God. I don't even know what to say. Can I not just tell you I love Jake again, and leave it at that...? That's pretty much how I'm feeling right now...Loved up. Deflated because I've finished. Heavy hearted. All warm and fuzzy inside. Sigh. Again.I was so worried about reading this book. I was terrified that a) the characters wouldn't deal with any more drama,b)
5 F*cking amazing storming Stars!!So, this is me in the end of this book (and in the beginning and some chapters in the middle):Well, Jake its on one of the first places of my book-boyfriend list, so Im probably biased writing this because, well, theres Jake there so its all good to me. Anyway, in this second installment we have Jake and Tru right after being engaged in the end of the first book and spending a vacation in a almost desert tropical island where everything is perfect. But soon
4.5 ★'sAfter all the drama at the end of The Mighty Storm, Jake and Tru are together...and happy. They are trying to settle down and get accustomed to dealing with Jake's celebrity status and with Tru living in the States but nothing can ever be that simple.Let me start off by saying that HOLY COW...Jake is sooo amazingly romantic!! I loved all the sweet things he did...of course, his answers to some things were way over the top. But hey, when you have millions of dollars, what's a measly thirty
